La vincitrice del FilmFestival del Garda 2020 tra i nuovi membri dell’Academy
SAN FELICE DEL BENACO - Mila Turajlic, regista e produttrice serba che ha vinto il FFG 2020, tra i nuovi membri dell’Academy Awards per il 2020, che voteranno per i prossimi Oscar.
La regista Mila Turajlic, lo ricordiamo, ha aperto la XIII edizione del FilmFestival del Garda con il suo ultimo film “The other side of everithing” e si è aggiudicata il Premio del pubblico, per l’edizione speciale on line dell’evento.
Mila Turajlic è nata il 4 luglio 1979 a Belgrado, in Serbia. È regista e produttrice, nota per Druga strana svega (2017), Apocalypto (2006) e Cinema Komunisto (2010).
Turajlic commenta così il suo ingresso tra i nuovi membri dell’Academy Awards per il 2020: «So honored to be invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences #documentarybranch! And to find myself in such amazing company in the class of 2020, whose work is so inspiring. To count among them so many friends, mentors and colleagues is an indication of the generosity and support of this community Yvonne Welbon, Emma Davie, Nishtha Jain, Violeta Blue Ayala, Malek Bensmail, Adam J. Segal, Erez Laufer Yael Bitton Joelle Alexis Tamara Kotevska Ljubomir Stefanov Atanas Georgiev and many others.”
